1. Who we are

Nilam Labs LLC ("Nilam Labs", "we", "us") operates the AI Report Generator and AI Quiz Builder products at app.nilamlabs.ai. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data. Contact us at admin@nilamlabs.ai with any questions.

2. What we collect

Account data: email address, name, and password (hashed) when you sign up.
Uploaded files: CSV, XLSX, PDF, DOCX, PPTX, or TXT files you upload to generate reports or quizzes. These are processed to produce your output and stored temporarily.
Generated content: reports, quizzes, quiz responses, and results are stored in your account.
Usage data: which features you use, how many reports and quizzes you generate, and when.
Payment data: billing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your card details — Stripe handles all payment processing.

3. How we use your data

To provide the AI Report Generator and AI Quiz Builder services.
To process your uploaded files through the Anthropic Claude API to generate reports and quiz content.
To manage your account, subscription, and billing.
To send transactional emails (account confirmation, report delivery).
To improve our products based on aggregate usage patterns.

4. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate our products:

Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
Anthropic — AI processing. Your uploaded content is sent to the Anthropic Claude API to generate reports and quiz questions. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to this processing.
Stripe — payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy applies to all billing data.
Vercel — hosting and deployment.
Resend — transactional email delivery.

5. Your data rights

You can request a copy of your data at any time.
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data.
You can update your account information from your dashboard.

6. Data retention

We retain your account data and generated content for as long as your account is active. Uploaded files are stored for report and quiz history. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently deleted within 30 days.

7. Security

All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Access to your data is restricted by row-level security policies. We do not sell your data to third parties.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you by email if we make material changes. Continued use of our products after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
